CULTURAL TIPS FOR MUSROOM CULTIVATION


1. Cut hay into one inch peices.
2.Put the hay(पराल) in water for approximately 10 hours.
3.Put the Soacked into a Screpain heat up to boiling point (allow 2 whistle if you use a pressure cooker).
4.Allow the hay to cool and let the excess water drain of by spreading it out on a clean surface.

5. Put the hay into a net bag measuring 25  inchs long and 18 inchs wide making a compact 1.5 inchs each layer.
6. Now open the packed of spawn provided by tearing of the under side of the packed. A spread 50 grams of the Musroom spawn over the layer of hay the spawn should be spread out denser on the outside edge rather the centre.
7. Put another layer of hay measuring 5 inch in height over the layer of spawn.
8. In this way make Four layer (50 grams of spawn spread over 1.5 inch of hay) Tie up the bag after the fourth/five layers of spawn has been covered with 1.5 inch of hay.
9. Using needle make 15 to 20 holes all over the plastic,Hang this up in cool dark place .
10. Approximately 20 days later the Plastic packet/bag should be removed.
11. After removed of the plastic Packet/bags spray water on the mass of hay 2 to 3 times each day.
12. A week after removal of the plastic Packet/bags small musroom being to appear which will be ready for harvest in about 7 to 8 days.
